Music through WoW In-game voice

Mates and i want to raid to music, the idea was to join the same channel and have some music player play a song through the voice chat while we run. Similar to the "HLSS" for Half-Life/Counter Strike.

I know there are alot of music players but are there any that can do this?

Yes. A bit complicated, but whether you use Mac or Windows, go into the sound control/preferences for your system (not the ones in game) and select wave instead of the mic for recording. If you get stuck, google it, cuz it is confusing. Keep in mind, especially on Windows, you need a "mic blocker" or the music will be "skippy." And on top of that, while playing music, you cannot talk on the mic, since it won't be selected as the sound recording device.

Most players will mute you, just be aware of that.

thanks for the fast reply, some people will mute me and some won't depending on who wants to lsiten but either way i know them all, we also use a 3rd party program for voice chat so the wow in-game chat isn't used. I'll see what i can do about setting it up.

Thanks.

**EDIT**

Just re-read that line. "sound control/preferences for your system (not the ones in game)" :(

Damn.

Recording wave will also send your game sounds to the other players so you have to turn off any sounds you don't want to send.
Some sound cards can handle more than one recording device (mic, wave (or what-you-hear), CD and so on) which makes it possible for you to talk and send music at the same time, but that depends on your card.
