Insufficient authority to view addons

This started after Wrath of the Lich King was installed.   I install software on my side of the computer which has administrator authority.  My kid's side just has user privileges.  At some point we had to uninstall and reinstall Curse Client because Quest Helper no longer worked.  After the reinstall Quest Helper still didn't work or any of the other addons.  Everything worked fine on my user side.  I've seen various hits where this seems to be a problem with Curse not having adequate authority.  I've seen some suggestions to let Curse "run as administrator" but this was only for Vista.  We are running XP.  I need to know how to get it so the side without administrator control can run with the right authority to see addons and they can be updated, etc. without providing full administrator control to both users on the computer.  This has never happened before after installing patches or upgrades or addons.

Hi Acale,

Can you confirm that the installation path remained the same after installing Wrath of the Lich King?  It's possible Blizzard may have moved the directory on you, which will ultimately break the Curse Client's ability to update/install addons.

Kody - sorry.  Did not see the update.  Exactly which directory are you talking about?  I do not think they have changed, and I'm pretty sure it's not a directory issue.  I am Acale's mom and I installed everything because my Windows user has administrator authority.  Acale's user does not have authority to download and install.  This has not been a problem in the past.  Curse, addons, etc. have always worked before.  After Lich King was installed, Acale's QuestHelper no longer worked.  We uninstalled and reinstalled Curse.  The addons would only work for me or if I gave Acale complete computer administrator authority.  As soon as I limit the authority to the way it was before, then things no longer work.  They still work for me, of course, but not for Acale.  I need to know how to provide the right authority just for Curse and/or WOW so that this stuff will all work again.  I do not want Acale having unrestricted authority to the entire computer.  Thanks.  P.S. If it's the addons you want to know about, they are in c:\program files\world of warcraft\interface\addons so I think they are okay?
