Please help can't open addon in Warhammer Online

First off, I already set the programs to "Run as Administrator."

This is my first time trying to use the curse client and Im trying to use the "Squared" addon. I have Vista 64bit. I was finally able to install the "squared" addon through the client downloader automatically. It shows that it is installed and I also confingured the Warhammer folder to set it to Programs (86) Electronic Arts/Warhammer/interfaces/add/ons. I also tried putting the addon's in the interfaces folder.

So that didnt work. So then I tried to instal the addon and manually put the downloaded files extracted from the EXE, and put them all in the addon's folder. Didnt work. So i tried putting it in the interfaces folder. Didnt work.

Am I doing this right? I have the client running, then I start the game and it shows that the game warhammer is loading right before I start the game so it does recognize it.  So when I pick my character and the game starts I just type "/squared" or "/sqr" ?   I do this and nothing happens.

Just to clarify, The client shows I have installed the addon, and shows that I'm loading the game when I start it. But how do I get the add on to start when the game starts? Does it automatically just show the addon? Or do I type /sqr? or /Squared? I did this and nothing happens.

I'm not getting any errors or anything and I feel like everything is right, I just dont see any difference in the game. Please help me.

I've got the same problem Celvonus.  I've dropped Add-Ons into the "addons" directory,  but no go on them showing up in game.

Try reading http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67885

Important: You have to CREATE the folder 'Interface' with its subfolder 'AddOns' in your War directory. Stay away from the 'User' folder and its subfolders. It does not matter if you use Vista or XP, both system use the same structure.

If you want to use textcommands like /sqr, you have to install 'LibSlash', another addon. The addons will start automaticaly, if they are installed correctly. To check if your addon is installed you can type /addon (if you have libslash installed)

As for Curse, as far as I remember you have to tell it where your War.exe is located. Pointing it to the addons folder is wrong.

I am having a similar problem.  I have 4 add-ons installed (in addition to curse which I used to install them), all 4 show up in the add-on listing in game and are enabled, but only 2 of them are functioning.  AuctionAssist, and Auction Stats are not funtioning at all.  Now Landaro mentions not messing with the user folder, so I looked and found that Curse put a folder there with one file (modsettings.xml) for each of the 2 that are not working.  Could this be the problem?  Should I delete these folders or move these files into the folders in the add-ons folder?

Ok, I installed Libslash, and it works now. I did not realize that it was a required component.  My problem now is that I cannot drag items out of my backpack with these instelled.  Any ideas?

Uninstalled warhammer online and reinstalled it in a different directory (saved games). Programs (86) it did not like. Addons work perfectly now problem solved.

If I disable Auct6ionAssist, my backpack works fine, but with it Enabled, I cannot click on items in my bags.

The auctionstats download includes all auctionassist functionality (they were merged... or something, don't know the backstory). So it's like your second copy of auctionassist is conflicting with the copy that's included in the auctionstats addon. If you're running auctionstats, there's no reason to have the seperate auctionassist, that make sense?

As far as squared... first make sure you have all the listed dependancies. If that's not it, I'd guess you don't have the directory structure correct / the files arent in the right place. ...\Interface\AddOns\Squared\Squared.mod (and all the rest of the squared files). Note that you don't move all the unzipped files directly into the \AddOns folder, you leave them in the Squared folder and move the whole Squared folder into the AddOns folder.

I don't use the curse updater because it will auto update the mods. Why is this bad? Because a good deal of the mod makers out there are aparently still learning to code. Not knockin, they're better than me at it. I don't want to update to an unstable version that someone uploaded 1 hour ago without testing it fully, which seems to happen a lot.
