Hey everyone,

I have had an idea which would be brilliant for me, and i believe other people.

An addon which allows you to create custom minimap buttons (any number of them) which are bound to either macros, or macro-like scripts. For example: A button to say... /qh hide (quickly hide quest helper if you want to look at the mini map and its full) or /ll (Opens loot-link which doesn't have a minimap button). It would also be great for /1 or /2 macros, saving hotkey space and making it easy to find.

I use Minimap Button Frame, so i think it would be cool to bundle with that, or around that as someone could make a lot of buttons.

The buttons could have selectable graphics, or just numbers, letters, or a ? i guess... I don't know much about modding but i'm sure it could be done.

Anyway, thats my idea. If anyone wants to talk to me about it, i am more than glad to talk!

Don't sound like a bad idea.  You could accomplish that now if you use Bartender4. You could set a bar thats not used lets say bar10 and only show one or two buttons on it, size them to be about the size of minimap buttons then bound them to the macro's of your choice.  Also if you use ButtonFacade you could skin them to your liking. Just a thought.

At current i am using Domino's and all my bars are full. I am using bar 10 to be my keybinds to my number pad, and have my other bars with tradeskills and ports etc (I'm a mage). Nice idea tho... Hadn't thought about that.

You can use macros to combine a ton of your spells into one button especially as a mage. There are also addons that allow you to bind spells to buttons without having to be on an action bar. I only have about 25 buttons total used on my mage (lvl 80) and have no spells that are unaccounted for. That leaves me with 95 buttons to do with as I like.

I know how to bind spells. I know how bar mods work. This isn't about that. I am asking the community to consider and develop a mod that i would use. Sure, i could bind crap to buttons, but what i really want is minimap buttons. Ok?

If anyone else wants to tell me how to use the interface please hold back. I don't need it.

Well thats fine, I don't use that many macros atm. As long as you can make minimap buttons.
