I've run into a similar problem with ROMDB; only one of my characters was being uploaded. I played the character that had been updated for a while, and the other one updated. I submitted a report, and am waiting for a resolution (they're testing).

I've had this same problem for a while now. Running windows XP 32-bit. The little mini-windows in the bottom right no longer appear when starting WAR, or exiting.
When logging out or using the manual /wardbupdate command the in-game text says it has been updated, but it no longer actually updates my profile. I have attempted reinstalling the client, updated the profiler add-on, don't really know what else to do!

Thank you all, this is a known issue in the current available version of the client(3.0.0.4)
We have implemented a fix for wardb uploads and will be available in the soon to be released next version (3.0.0.5)

What about a fix for wowdb uploads? It doesn't seem to be working for me, no popup or anything with the latest client.

April 15th was the last day my characters got updated on WARDB. When I check the log I see:
Wed Apr 15 13:02:18 2009> [Warhammer Manager] Profiler path detected: Wed Apr 15 13:02:18 2009> [Warhammer Manager] D:/Games/Warhammer Online/user/interface/AllCharacters/ZCurse_Profiler/ Wed Apr 15 13:02:18 2009> [Warhammer Manager] SavedVariables exists Wed Apr 15 13:11:05 2009> [Warhammer Manager] Time Change Detected: Wed Apr 15 13:11:05 2009> [Warhammer Manager] D:/Games/Warhammer Online/user/interface/AllCharacters/ZCurse_Profiler/ Wed Apr 15 13:11:06 2009> [Warhammer Manager] C:\Users\Remco\AppData\Local\Temp\1239793866.tmp Wed Apr 15 15:42:41 2009> [Warhammer Manager] Time Change Detected: Wed Apr 15 15:42:41 2009> [Warhammer Manager] D:/Games/Warhammer Online/user/interface/AllCharacters/ZCurse_Profiler/ Wed Apr 15 15:42:42 2009> [Warhammer Manager] C:\Users\bla\AppData\Local\Temp\1239802962.tmp Wed Apr 15 15:53:51 2009> [Warhammer Manager] Time Change Detected: Wed Apr 15 15:53:51 2009> [Warhammer Manager] D:/Games/Warhammer Online/user/interface/AllCharacters/ZCurse_Profiler/ Wed Apr 15 15:53:52 2009> [Warhammer Manager] C:\Users\bla\AppData\Local\Temp\1239803632.tmp
Now after the 15th of april the client doesn't check the files anymore. If I check the temp folder now the files arn't there. Running Vista 64bit SP1, Profiler 3.0.0.5

Profiler not updating anything for month or more. Don't even get the popup that it was sent.
Edit: I should include that I'm using 3.0.0.5 with wow and XP Version 2002 SP3.

for people having problems with your WARDB updates, try renaming your user/interface folder if you have it, this should fix the uploads. if not, pm me your curse and wardb acct info and i'll try and help you out.
for WOWDB, we are waiting on the person who updates the client code for uploading new wowdb daat to come back from vacation, as a new wow patch snuck past us, and we have to wait for him to get back to push out a new version

War changed the way they used the inteface directory, moving to using /settings instead.
Try renaming your user/interface directory to something else if you are running an existing/older war installation. This will prevent the client from trying to check the older directory.

Right, this will cause the client to check the settings directory instead - as a temporary workaround.
We have changed the client to default to settings instead, but that won't be available until the next client release (i.e. 3.0.0.6)

So how long are those of us waiting for the WoWDB fix going to have to wait for this person to come back from vacation?
I in no way mean to be rude with this statement, but we haven't had an updated profile since probably 2-3 months ago.
I honestly love the feature, and I loved it when it first came out. What I don't love is it not even catching a cache of my stats to at least keep to put on the server when it's fixed so I could see which items I used to use, etc. I'll admit though, that does rise the probablility of a rather large bandwidth issue once it starts working.
Either way, please...please...push for the WoWDB to get fixed in .6 as well.

I am having a similar issue, the Curse CLient says my RoM character has been uploaded, but there is nothing on my RunesDB account showing my character. I even did the reinstall of the curse client. The curse Profiler is at RoM version 1.4

Curse has never worked right for me. I was on last year and it was a bitch to get my character info uploaded and the client to work properly. Now I'm back and see they've redesigned everything, new client, etc. and sitll my character info won't upload. Kind of obnoxious when a main feature of their software seems as if it has not worked properly or uninterupted for over a year.

Hello All,
We've received varying reports of problems with the automatic uploads of character data. Some of them have been diagnosed andf ixed, however the upcoming 3.0.0.6 does indeed have a manual push via the Options menu to both help users with this problem get their data uploaded and to find causes of the problem.

Please help me with my issues, I paid for this stuff and I can’t get it to work and the support forums do not solve my issues. I sent a message on the forums to a support person over a week ago with no response.
Issue: My characters are simply not updating like they should be. I use Vista Ultimate 64 system with Live One Care. I have excluded the curse.exe and updater files in my firewall setting. I have the client loaded and I do have the add-on for curse as well. I have typed in-game /wardbupdate many times and does appear to be working. I went to my profile and deleted all my toons at http://www.wardb.com/accountCharacters.aspx and not my characters will not show up at all. My characters do show up on http://www.wardb.com/user.aspx?id=122493 however they are way out of date. My t00n Joybringer is also the guild leader for Crucible on the Iron Rock server. Our guild page is also terrible at http://www.wardb.com/guild.aspx?id=30480 I do not see that I am doing anything wrong.
Please help me.

because i have the same problems i tried something ...
first : wow started WITHOUT the curseclient -> the curseprofiler.lua exists !
second : if i start wow WITH the curseclient OR pressed the "push game profile data" button the errors shows up in the logfile

i have a (bad) feeling , that the client is deleting the lua before he uploads it ... (that would be explain the "update is empty" msg in the logfile i think)
*edit* - it was tested with the new update (3.0.0.7)

Thurraz,
The curseprofiler.lua is the actual addon itself, not the data that is written. Running the client or not running it would have no effect on whether the curseprofiler.lua is present in your wow directories (assuming you'd installed it initially)
That said, there appears to have been a change to the wow internals that made the profiler out of data with resolving data in the creature cache since friday. Your profile data is still there, but it is not being loaded by the client properly.
We are working to resolve this issue.

Hi llamabark, yes i allways run the games ... login ... logout ... and close the game before i try to update my chars.
Can you tell me from which folder/file the curse client trys to collect the char-data, so i can verify if it exists and if it is accessible for the curse client?
Thx in advance
Edit:
Not sure if this is part of the problem, but since today i get these logentrys each time i close WoW:
Tue Jun 09 21:25:34 2009> [WarcraftManager] Non-200 response received: 400 Tue Jun 09 21:25:34 2009> [WarcraftManager] Warcraft Extension hash couldn't be retrieved.

Hi OJCarlsen,
You are correct in that warcraft uploads are currently stalled. Your data should be in: \world of warcraft\WTF\Account\<account name>\<realm>\<character name>\SavedVariables.lua
We are working hard on resolving the problem.

H llamabark,
first of ... thx for your hard work.
Just another bit of info ...
If the character-data for the update is pulled from these SavedVariables.lua files (the pathes you posted), this "Update is empty" logentry makes sense.
All these SavedVariables.lua files are empty ... just containig two blank lines.
No solution ... but maybe a hint for you debugging.
