curse have keyloggers?

including the forum?? wuuuhhhhh

Been using Curse since WowAce teamed up with them and havent had any problems with the curse client or any addons that i have downloaded. Keyloggers can be put into almost any kind of code you can imagine, However dont follow the bandwagon and blame it on Curse. Your best bet is to stay smart, make sure you keep your system up to date as far as firewall/antiviral software, then watch when you download. Like i said ive been using WowAce and now Curse for quite some time and have heard this type of thing pop up on WowAce forums back in the day, is it possible to get a keylogger from mod download sites Yes, however you are more likely to get infected from a smaller outside resource rather then a large community such as curse.

try reading the threads about that here. there are simply no reason why we should attribute those hacks to curse's client.

hope this is not true.. it would be sucks if there is keylogger in this forum... so sad.. T_T

its not in the forum. but its allegedly on curse client.

Nope not in this forum...There were no confirmation yet, but I hope they would be able to settle this issue.

That's the problem...

key loggers cannot be at on the forum site. people would have to download such key loggers to be able for it to work. i havent heard anything about web-based malwares like that.

As long as you have a good anti virus/spyware program you don't need to worry about this. Try using superantispyware it's what I'm using. I got hacked about a year ago I was using mcaffee. Unfortunately the backdoor program that they used on me cannot be detected by Mcaffee. I tried using this superantispyware and I was surprised to see that I have about a hundred files infected in my computer that was not detected before.

I hate to admit it, but the Curse Forums log all keystrokes you make that correspond to printable characters while the caret is inside the quick reply textbox, and upload them to our server when you click the post button.

The advent of these posts tells me that some people are less intelligent than the average house plant. But I will give credit where credit is due; some house plants are fairly smart.

Let me be clear on this: there are no keyloggers, viruses, spam, or other malware anywhere in the Curse client, or the hosted addons. Yes, some pathetic worms sign up and advertise now and then, but it falls to you and me to report them using the "report" button that is on every post. If you do not ever click their links or sign up with them, then you will never get anything from Curse – and since Curse doesn't host those gold farmers, then it isn't Curse's fault if you are stupid.

On the other hand, if you are stupid and either click on the gold sellers' ads, or buy/sell gold, then it is your fault, and I rest my case about house plants.

Statistically, 800,000 people use the Curse Client, and over 2 million addons have been downloaded. If there was a problem, it would have shown up a long, long time ago.

Curse.com is the only place to download the Curse Client. If people download it from somewhere else, then they are taking a risk.
