Is there an add-on out there which will allow the grouping of chat windows on more than just the parent frame?

My UI has 2 windows of chat, one on the left for general info, system info, combat log

and one on the right for Guild chat, Raid chat and whispers. However Idealy I'd like raid chat to be a seperate tab from guild chat to toggle between.

HOWEVER if i create a seperate window for raid chat, it will ONLY merge with the left hand pane.

I have googled this and searched on curse for an answer and no luck.

To sum up what I would like is an addon which allows more than one set of tabbed windows for chat.

Have you tried WIM?  WimAddon.com  It supports Guild filters...

Yes, it does support filters, But i dont need filters, Prat does that and more.

Imagine your standard chat frame... you have a general tab, a combat log tab and you probably all create new tabs for other things like guild chat etc.

Now imagine 2 sets of those tabbed frames.

Thats what I would like so my ui can have

Already part of the default WoW interface..... if click on the tab of the window that you want to setup you can select settings. Once in the settings you will have another window that has some tabs, one of which allows you to select what channels will be displayed in that frame. You can deselect everything except raid chat for one and guild chat for another. You can separate the frames just by dragging the tab that you want to separate. Make sure that it is not locked. You can drag one tab onto another window and combine them.

I know you can seperate off ONE tab all on its own but I want TWO tabs still linked but seperate for TWO other tabs.

With default you can only combine a tab with the parent tab so you can't have 2 stacks of 2 windows.

It would be great if something like this worked.

The point is, yes, you can create tabs for chatframes. BUT this only works on the main chat frame, therefore you cannot have two frames with tabs each as of default.

No need to bump since I this action is prevented by Blizzard and no addon can allow this type of functionality. I had originally misread the post when I first responded over two and a half months ago and the posters following my response are correct in saying that this is not possible.
