You might also find the addon "Eloquence" of interest. One of its features is a "sanitizer" which attempts to clean up in-game chat. Unlike the built-in profanity filter, though, it does so not by just hiding the words, but by substituting cleaner and/or fantasy equivalents. So, for example:
"f*ck you" becomes "away with you"
"beat the f*ck out of" becomes "beat the snot out of"
"what the f*ck" or "wtf" becomes "what on Azeroth"
"f*cking around" becomes "mucking about"
"wtf is" becomes "what in the blazes is"
In a lot of cases, where the word is simply an emotional indicator, Eloquence removes it. Thus:
"it's f*cking" becomes "it's"
"you f*cking" becomes "you"
It does this for a lot more than just the f-word. Other examples:
"crapload" becomes "remarkable amount"
"bullsh*t" becomes "nonsense"
"the sh*t out of" becomes "some sense into"
"badass" becomes "formidable"
"huge-ass" becomes "gigantic"
"sucks ass" becomes "sickens me to the core"
Other modules of it will clean up grammar and spelling, make dwarves sound Scottish, make trolls sound Jamaican, expand game-specific abbreviations, and do other things. Listening to the trade channel with it on is a trip. :-D
