Is there a database being started ?

I click on Database but get nothing for some reason it redirects me.

Yep, I am wondering this also.  Our data is being collected, and I saw a link to a database earlier in the profiler addon remarks, but it is gone now.  When can we expect this to be working?

Are the character profiles working (or at least the updates to the site)?  I've got the profiler addon, but nothing seemed to update or anything.  Thanks in advance.

Are you running the Curse Client?  The profiler writes out the data, but you have to run the client to have that data uploaded.

Looking at this page, I think the profile system is working, so get the client and you should be good to go =)

i have the database but when i go to my charcaters there is nothing there.how do i create my charc for the data base to pick it up

yeah i only think they are doing the us servers can someone please tell us when we will have the european servers on

we currently only support us servers, as we plan to localize the site for other locales before we allow data/profiles from them.

I think I will deactivate the "upload feature" from the curse client till then. No data for the database from till I can see my characters. ;)

if there any english language servers we aren't supporting let me know, and i'll fix it, the reason we dont support other languages is that we have to match the names of items, quests, npcs etc with info in our database which is all in english, so it won't work correctly with non-english servers

one of the en servers is called macantacht,smacht and siaochian these server have english speaking players and u should have no problems with them i hope this will help.

thanks for the info, i wasnt aware you could use english clients on non-english servers. We actually do save the language the client is using, but I'll try and get an example of a english client on a non english server so i can see how the game behaves and what info is returned by the method we use to detect language, so i can work on supporting that

hmm, i don't now why, but although the CurseProfiler tells me, that my data was uploaded to runesDB, I can't choose my Characters.

Somebody could tell me why?

Now the EU EN servers have characters on them. However, my char don't seem to upload. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

- Have profile here & logged in on the client. 

- Have curse client running 24\7, so it is always on when I play RoM.

Still no char on the DB though.

Have you actually logged in at runesdb.com?  My account wasn't showing until I did that.

i have an account, i'm logged in right now and have been since before i got the curse client. my char hasnt shown up though

edit, just upgraded to 1.3 entered and exited game. says char has been updated to database but still not there,shows the new level i got tonight though but cannot see  char, ie:not yellow

just checked again it its there now, maybe the update to 1.3 was the reason?

hm, i don't know why but there seems to be a problem with some EU server still, because the DB shows no entries for some server, e.g. Laoch, but I'm on this server and the profiler also tells me every time I start rom, that my profil was uploaded to the db.

as long as the curse client submits your information to our daat service fine, it will popup saying it was uploaded. We will be adding support for all language uploads sometime this week most likely, i'm just finishing up the last bit of backend work. If somone is on a en server and their character isnt being uploaded, please pm with a msn/aim acct i can reach you at so i can try and reproduce your problem.

The " My character " on runesDB dont work at all for me. I havea account on both site, Curse and RunesDB, i have the Curse client installed and running. I never see any of my chars in my runesDB profile.

Is there a way for someone to write a real walktrough on HOW to get it work ?

I also had the problem that my profile wouldn't show up, then i changed my territory setup to US/en and everything worked fine. I'm on Macantacht.

Still no support for all servers even though I am using the client in English. This is pissing me off. On Buffed it is working since months!
