I got an Assertion Failed error when exiting wow. Then I hit retry and it just closed the program.

I'm getting the same... started with 3.1 I think. I added a few addons right at the same time but then removed them, but I'm still getting this when I close out of WoW.

I am only running the bartendar 4, curse profiler 2.0, player xp bar, and carbonite addon. But if you say that you removed them all and still got it it may have something to do with the curse client itself, i tried uninstalling and reinstalling but didn't work.

Same. It's funny, under the "addons" tab, almost all my addons are up to date (except gatherer ><). All EXCEPT the Curse Client. maybe something to do with it? lolz.

I get this too. It seems to be the only issue though. Most of my addons are working just fine. I just click abort and reload the client and things are ok.

So the problem is with the Curse Profile Exporter 2.0 addon. To stop this from happening just uninstall that addon and the problem goes away. There is an updated version of this addon here http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/curse-profiler-2/download/344701.aspx but it doesn't seem to work either.
I dont know if this addon is important but everything seems to work without it.

Problem is the addon will re-install itself and the problem comes back. They need to release a fix.

I apologize for the issue some of you have been having with this assertion error. It's supposed to be silent, unless the Client is run in debug mode.
The assertion error is related to WoW Character Profile uploads (which you can disable via the Manage Games button). I've just posted an update to our WoW Data Service which will stop the error from happening in the client.
