Every addon I try to download and install via the Curse Client stalls and says "Download failed for...." this didnt happen atall before the last patch :S

yeah im having the same probs dowloaded the patch ...lost my questhelper....now won't download again.....perhaps everyone having the same problems and theres too many trying to download??

Just tried going to the add on manager and ticking use out of date add ons, QH works but for some reason is stuck in the center of the screen and you cant move it. Just have to be patient and try downloading again later.

F.A.Q just says curse servers are fried...cos everyone having same probs and trying to re-install....grrrr damn bloody patches lol

its because all the thousands of people previously using wowmatrix to only download files are now loading full web pages on curse, and the additional load on the servers because of this is likely causing some heavy traffic to the site.

I'm also having issues with downloading addons, so far my QuestHelper seems to just stop after 20% and fail. I managed to download Cartographer and a few others though, I'm still trying to download the following:

• QuestHelper
• Auctioneer

I'll keep trying and update here if I manage to download them. I managed to get an addon through the standard HTTP download using my download manager.

Micro, you talk about spam but what you just posted there, bitchin' about other people counts, it contains no helpful information what-so-ever so in my eyes thats also spam. The server is using nginx which is a HTTP server, it incorporates load balancing which I'm assuming is in effect due to a high amount of downloads in conjunction with the new patch release. If you want to get a hold of Auctioneer I managed to download it at auctioneeraddon.com.

Yea my QH is busted and I am unable to download manually or via curse client. This is pretty messed up.

ok the only thing i can figger out is every one is trying to download updates at once.  i had to wait till 3am last night to update all.  curse has tryed going to 3g site, but idk if they actuly made it to it yet.  just relax. they are working on it.  they havent sent me a update answer on the 3 g yet. i will let u all know when they let me know.

Omg! How frustrating, I don't think I've played without Coords, Accountant, Quest Helper, Titan Panel, or Cartographer since at least level 30 :|

It's not the Curse Client, it's the download hits to the site.  If you absolutely have to have Auctioneer you can go to the developer's site for now, and for QuestHelper you'll just have to wait it out.  Try a manual install, which is how I had to get them both updated.  Also, make sure you've deleted the original Auctioneer from your AddOns folder before you use the new version.

I think the game should come with all the bells and whistles so that we don't have to go somewhere else to get it and then we wouldn't be here in the first place  You would think that WOW would see that people want this in the game and put it in there.  Man what a mess all this is!!!!!..... Starting to think about going to another game that I don't have to worry about all this crap everytime WOW decides to add more on to there game.  And oh by the way what is going to happen when the game gets so big people's puters will no longer run their fine game?????  Better think about that guys.... not all of us can afford to get a new puter just because the game gets toooo big..... Good Luck trying to get all your stuff working again... Carbonite add-ons.com is having the same problems with their downloads as well...

No game comes with all the bells and whistles.  There's always room for fans to spiffy them up.  This just happens to be a huge day for patching stuff.  It's one of those days when it's probably more fun to watch your neighbor pick his nose while his dog craps in your flower bed =P

It seems like the download did not finish, re-download the archive.

Last night when I got back on, QH didnt work. So I went to add-on button on character list and clicked the load outdated add-ons, and when I got back in my character, QH was in the middle of my screen. Today, I redownloaded the curse client and QH, but now its kind of off to the bottom right instead of where it normally is (middle right). Same thing happening to anyone else ?
