i have tried everything i could think of besides reinstalling the game! this is driving me nuts! quest helper will not run after WOW's new patch what is going on please help!

Have you updated wow to the latest version? http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/quest-helper.aspx

And have you turned "Load out of date addons" back on via the character select screen (addons button - bottom left)? Blizzard turns this off automatically every patch, and you have to manually turn it back on.
