To add to the info here ...
Disabling my router firewall also worked.
The security log shows that it was being blocked as it was recognized as a "TCP FIN Scan".
I won't be using Curse at all until this is solved - disabling my router firewall is completely unacceptable.

It would help us figure out the issue if those of you who got it working by disabling your firewall would post the make and model of the router you are using, and possibly any relevant settings. We certainly don't expect everyone to run unfirewalled just to use the client.

I have a Belkin N Wireless Router ver. 3100
The firewall for this router is either "enabled" or "disabled", so unfortunately I cannot provide further info as to settings as far as I know.

I found a Solution that works (for me) without disable the Routerfirewall.
The Problem was:
Maximum incomplete TCP/UDP sessions number from same host: 10
after increasing the numbers of incomplete TCP/UDP Sessions up to 50 the Client works fine.

Your previous post indicated that you were able to make it work with your setup.
Is there another issue you are having now with 3.0.0.5?

Ive been having the same problems as all of you, however disabling my firewall security was not an option. Then I realized I hadnt updated my routers firmware in over a year. Updated it, and Curse updater works fine.
