Addon-wish: Realm Status Monitor.

Once upon a time, there was a gamer. He was a very happy gamer. Because he had a small application that made a "ping"-sound whenever his favorite realm was no longer offline. But then one day, the application broke! Oh, what horror! Unfortunately, he did not know how to fix it, so he soon forgot about this helping application, untill one day his realm was down for maintenance for the 123523465463'th time. He figured he would watch some CSI untill his realm was back up. But how would he know when this was? So he decided to make a post, on this fantastic website called curse.com, where some of the most skillfull addon-developers hung out.

Whether these were able to help him out or not, we will find out soon...

Long story short:

I used to have this app, Realm Status Monitor, running in my system tray, making an audio alert whenever there was a change on my realms status.

App can be found here: http://wowvault.ign.com/View.php?view=UIMods.Detail&;id=303

There's a few of these out there, none of them work 100% anymore.

Anyone know one that works/can update one of the old ones/can make a new? :D

I used to use that one and yes it doesn't work anymore which is sad.

There are some that work for Mac, but I have yet to find one for PC anymore.

There used to be a few desktop ones and one even for stardock Desktop X users,

and that's gone now too.

There is https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1780
for Firefox, but it's not userfriendly at all.

Try this:  http://widgets.yahoo.com/search/?q=Warcraft

These utilize Yahoo Widgets.  And the

WoW Realm Status Monitor  seems to be working.

The yahoo installer would never run on any of my pc's, and tried the firefox one aswell, but didn't find it close to being usefull :(
