Is Healbot best addon for raids or is there another one out there?

The mods said they would reinstate this post, but apparently ran into technical difficulties.

Oh, I don't care about his personal preferences. I only responded to the
*factual* claim "its functionality is simply unparalleled", which is
untrue. He didn't like being corrected and got pissy about it.

You didn't say you "don't care about CPU usage", you said, "as for your memory
and log parsing comment, Decursive only uses about 800-900 KiB of memory".
Unless you're swapping, memory is irrelevant (unless the addon is generating
tons of garbage, which does ultimately affect performance).

It's a matter of principle. Running two addons that do the same thing is
pointless and wasteful.

If you had taken 30 seconds to watch that extremly short video, you would have
avoiding putting your foot in your mouth ("Vuhdo is a bit nicer as it actually
counts down the HoT timers instead of just blinking a color and what-not", etc.)

Yes, you already said you use redundant mods because you're confused, but you
don't need to pretend you're speaking for the OP. You said *you* still use
decursive because "its functionality is simply unparalleled".

You thought Decursive did something Grid/VuhDo/etc. do not. I corrected that
mistake.  That's all. You could have said "oh cool, I didn't know that"
but instead you tried to *defend* a factually wrong position.

Healing is hectic, period. This thread is for players who are trying to gain
control over that chaos, by finding tools that improve their efficiency.

Your argument about handedness fails, because click-casting doesn't *add* any
complexity -- you still have the exactly same number of key combinations to
remember -- you just transfer some of the complexity to the right-hand. For
instance, instead of hitting 3 for Nourish they click the right mouse button.

I don't really care about your opinion of Grid, I care about you spreading
misinformation about tools you never learned how to use.  It's like someone
saying they hate Windows because you can't resize windows; you don't respond to
that with "I guess we disagree" you respond "you CAN resize windows,
your information is wrong."

I think that's the most nonsensical bit of any forum post I've read this month.
For the record, I'm Horde on a PVP server.

I think Healbot limits your performance as healer.
go basic interface or <insert favourite unitframes here>+clique, BIND your spells to buttons instead of mouseclicking.
So many healers i have seen ask themselves why do i stay so low in healing meters. Because instead of seeing what happens and ANTICIPATING damage to heal, they wait for healbot to react when it has done so and they start cast the target is usually healed already.

I've never been a healbot user myself.  I just simply have a raid frame up (grid) along with grid's incoming heals and I use clique.  I think it tends to be very fast and also pretty informative.  Even when not healing, I can always see what's going on with the raid like debuffs and if a heal is incoming to somebody.

side note the addon vuhdo seems to be nicely done for healing also

My 2 cents...

I've never liked healbot, and Clique requires you to remember key modifier and click sequences... instead I used Pitbull to create a grid that shows health and incoming heals, and Macaroon to create macros, so now I can heal Mouse hover target, focus target, selected target, target of target, etc. by using my default keybinds ( 1 to = ) by simply hovering the mouse over the unit's bar and casting... much quicker, allows me to anticipate and shows other healers' healing.
