Original Thread- http://wow.curse.com/forums/t/96306.aspx
Curse did not attempt to work things out with them, but rather insisted on buying the little project. WoWmatrix is superior to the curse client in my opinion, and yes I have used both.

I would like to debate about Questing or Grinding.
Which do you feel it the better way to level a charactor up Questing? or Grinding?
I think questing is the better way. Grinding is just boring. But thats just my point of view.

Grinding is superior. It not only is about the same speed as questing for most classes, but also yeilds more gold return.
Back to Curse's poor buisiness practices yah?

It's interesting that you think we're the bad guy just because WoWMatrix created something you enjoyed using, yet were totally in the wrong with their practices.
It's also interesting that you take their word for it when they say we didn't try to work with them, contact them, etc.

Ah I think turning in quest after quest will earn you more gold not to mention all the soulbound items that you can't use that you can sell or disenchant if your and enchantor.

I would have to agree with camealion on this one. Over all you can level faster by questing. Esspecially when the drop rate of a item is so low that you need for a quest its pretty much grinding for a quest. But once you turn the quest in. You can get better armour better weapons. The money may not be as much as just pure grinding. But when your leveling you really have no use for money unless your using it to buy ammo, reagents, repair armour. If your a low level. You dont need to buy anything. All the armour and weapons you need you will get off quests or the occasional instance run. And when you turn in the quest. The exp you get from it is like killing 10 mobs at one time if not more. So questing is ftw!

Please show otherwise and I would be interested. Untill then your buisiness practices lead me to side with their version of the story, that and the fact that you did not sue.
On the leveling issue grinding allows through more kills which means higher changes for "twink" items to drop in some cases, and more vendor gold. While questing in outlands and northrend I generally ended up with 13 or so BoE greens and a the occasional blue to the 7 or so BoP greens and the occasional BoP blue from questing.

You can level faster by doing three or four quests at a time then going and turning them all in. If you would like to test my theory then please by all means try. Make a level one character. Go and quest for a week straight. Do nothing but quests. then at the end of that week. make a new level 1 character. same race. same class...and go just grind out your levels. You will be surprised how fast questing exp is so much better then any mob can give u.
Totally agree!

Questing is much better for xp. You jsut have to do it in batches, I usually will pick up every quest I can see and do them all at once, and will gain a quarter to a half level, even now at 77.

WoWMatrix is located in a country that doesn't care about copyright laws or bandwidth leeching. That's the main reason there was no legal action taken. In some places it's just not possible; it's the same reason why to this day there are still private servers for World of Warcraft.

Questing is definetly superior. Leveling guide's never have you grinding mobs.
