Addons that improve performance for inferior computers

Are there any? My computer barely has one gig of ram (it's an awful laptop), and even with all of the settings at minimum, I still get a good deal of lag. Are there any addons that help to improve performance in any way whatsoever?There are plenty that increase the maximum, but what about decreasing the minimum?

Im gonna have to say no. Only thing and addon can do is make it run slower. An addon can't hadle the processes of wow and if someone created a program that did, I'm sure it would be against the ToS or something.

There are some that do this in WAR, but I don't know of any off the top of my head.

The WAR ones work by reducing the number of update messages sent to the UI, and by disabling some of the automatic logging that takes place.

I find Zoom!!! works, but that only affects load screens.
