Item database

So...I've seen some open ended posts about releasing the VG item database, but nothing else said other than "boy I will miss it". Anyone know if they have of are even considering releasing anything? VG curse was the place I (and everyone I knew on sartok) would turn to for any kind of information on items, and then...it was gone, never to be seen again. kinda sad if they just shift+deleted it...If you are a lvl 50 and want info the best thing i can say is -http://vanguard.xanadu-community.com/items.php?page=new&;id=160

other than that after curse dropped vg i dont know any half decent vg site out there. :/

Vanguard Items.xml?

Sorry if this has already been asked, and if it's insane... but I was wondering if there was currently, or ever will be, an XML containing all the Vanguard Items al la the WoW Items DB xml we could d/l from allakhazams?

I would love to build a local items database for raid/craft item tracking, but unless I missed something, there is nowhere to really get a local copy of this info except to enter it manually or parse pages. :eek

Be gentle. :) I am not sure if this is even ok to ask heh. Thoughts?

Instrument mod

Hi,

I have started rerolling a bard (now lvl 21) and I found myself looking in curse database for Instrument mod items such as

I was surprised to see that in the long list of criterias there was nowhere the "Instrument mod" criteria. Nor is there anything to find instruments at all.

Isn't it be in the database? Is there a way to add it to the list? That would be great for aspiring bards;

Curse isn't working with APW?

APW is live for a while now but still there isn't a single item/quest/NPC in the database... There might be some hardcore players that turned off the client while raiding, but at least the items I've seen dropping and quests I accepted and turned in should be listed. Tho there is nothing. Even my chars haven't been updated which they were correctly before GU#3-2.

Any suggestions where this might come from?

Firstly it was myself that posted a while back how to add Curse item oink images to phpbb2 based forums, and I remember you guys posted on these forums. I can't find these... has this functionality been disabled?

That said any [item] links on our site now just include the text for the item and not the black frame as was the case previousy. We have not changed out site code, so is there anything that has changed here that I need to updated?

JavaScript error on website

When I try to go to this link:

and I receive this javascript error:

Error: 'vg_tabsets' is undefined

What this effectively does is not show any of the entities that drop said item. I am using IE7 on Windows XP. Any suggestions?

Shadowhound Quest

Is there a complete list of steps that need to be taken to do the Shadowhound Quest?

It would be nice with each step linked to the Quests within the database. This could also be done for the Unicorn Quest.

Item Database Search Filters?

I was trying to figure out how to set filters on item database search but that does not seem to exist. If I'm missing something obvious, please knock me on the head and point me in the right direction. Otherwise, please add filters...heh. Basically, I'd love to do a search for items that can be crafted by artificers (simply to see what lies ahead for me). Thanks.

Why when I click on the Crafting Tab on my Character can I not see the skill levels? All I can see is N/A.

Quest series indication

Is there possibility to add an ability to link quests when they form a quest series. I.e. some quests are not possible to take without doing the previous quest in series.
Sometimes we just want some quest reward, but want to trace back, which quest starts the series that leads to certain quest reward.

I understand that probably game itself doesn't provide such info, but maybe it can be done via curse site.

Greeting,

I'm totally puzzle right now, yesterday I figure it was just my pc having a fit after I told the server to shutdown for cleaning... But today I'm actually worry!

As of yesterday afternoon (this is when I noticed it) my Curse Client been "yellow" error connection... I have tried re-entering my account info, re-installing, killing all apps I'm running, checking silly window firewall $%^& and still no go ... I know my login/pw is good since I'm clearly writing this right now! I'm at a lost and still wish to have data sent (being I'm camping a name for a drop that ain't in the database)

anyone good a clue on what I missed? or a fix this my little "Failed to connect"?

I've seen a couple posts saying that you gather info for spells, abilities, effects, etc but don't have an interface to display them yet. Any eta on when this might be available? Even something super basic of just searching for the effect/spell name and printing out the details would be incredibly useful.

Is the Curse Client not working?
