THere is a few mods that will do this. ONe used to be called Combat Sentry Gizmo.
THere is a newer, similar version out now that will display the mobs that are currently targeting you. If you just want to know via an audio warning and one via SCT, get Banzai Aggro Alert.

JFYI, all such addons can't show you exact number and only display number of monsters attacking you that other people in your party target right now. There's no way to see such information about monster that is not targeted by anybody.

This is the only Addon I know of that can provide such a feature.
With this Addon enabled you will have a small square on your character frame that will display the number of "monsters", or players currently targeting you.

I am a paladin tank and i am in need of an addon that tells me how many monsters are attracted to me meaning following me and attacking me pls link.
