That feature does not work "yet". Its been that way for several months now. Somebody should add a statement to the download page in order to stop this confusion. Sadly, noone has :(

it takes you to the download screen because it is designed to pull the information of your characters from the game, while you have curse client running. but ive had it for a few months, and still no characters so i am assuming that you need to do something else as well

I get the same thing..I've had the curse client installed for about a week or so. Curse client 0.16.0.0.

Help I just joined Curse.com and downloaded and installed the client and I cannot add characters. It keeps taking me to the download screen.
Why???????
