If your guild is any good at all, you don't NEED to advertise. New people will stand in line to join. Whenever you need a new recruit, you select one.

First sign of a guild being a waste of time - They are advertising.

Feelin' hurt? Sorry, truth does that sometimes.

Sorry, just tryng to get my guild some exposure.

While we're at it... Anyone know a good place to do that without offending everyone and spamming threads?

In general most forums have a recruitment thread, or a general discussions thread where these types of posts are tolerated, however I find that the response is usually along the lines of "OMG keylogger don't check their site they hack!" or "You've violated the terms of use of this forum by posting a URL without having posted at least 10 million times over the last 4 years and therefor your account has been suspended!"

I mean... I'm trying to get people to join NOW, so that we could possibly start raiding Kharazan before the end of the month, I honestly don't have time or interest in making 100 mindless posts over 40 different forums just to give the admins the impression that I'm a great contributor to their site so they'll allow me to recruit maybe 1-2 people from their community...

Certain communities like GameAmp and TenTonneHammer are very friendly and helpful towards these kinds of posts, but others like "penny-arcade" are packed to the brim with jerks who do nothing but flame.

Is there anywhere that people who need to get the word out about their guild can go without having to worry about childish behaviour or outrageous 'rules' to abide by?

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Looking for mature gamers who are looking to join a good guild, organized, friendly with plenty of opportunity for advancement.

We currently have about 40 members, all higher then lvl 50, active in TBC and looking to start raiding Kharazan hopefully before the end of February.

We have a great guild bank, which you can actually browse online as though you were looking at your own bank in-game, monthly guild contests (this months contest is 'whoever gains the most honor, makes the most posts on the forums and gains more then 1 level will win 25g!!'), lots and lots more...

You MUST be over 16 years of age, have your main character on Andorhal Horde, be good at your class, and willing to help your guildies.

If you understand that the 'sum' is mightier then the 'parts', then you're a perfect candidate.
