It is possible that your graphics card or monitor does not support that resolution for whatever reason. Are you running an odd monitor such as an HD TV? Are your graphics drives up to date?

In my options screen it skips 1024x768 and gos to the next 1 wich is 1150 is there a mod that will let me make it 1024x758?

Once you log into the game, hit Escape, then click Video. You can change your screen on that screen.
