Curse is free. Premium has a cost associated with it. You can still use Curse to update your addons.

I cant see why anybody would pay for a service like curse when WM offers a better service for free. Curse has coused a lot of trouble by trying to make a profit off of authors of add ons. You can state all your bogus concerns for authors protection and your bandwidth all you want, you refused to negotiate with WM becouse you are simply out to put money in your pockets offering a crapy service verses a free service like WM. I have looked at add ons at your site and it doesent give hardly any info on add on or author and lackes in any info for the actual add on. I'm not your typical wow player, at 46 I see what your really up to where some younger players wont. I will continue to use and support WM and the authors that make there add ons for fellow players. And all authors of add ons should realize that regardless of what curse promises them thay will never make huge amounts money selling add ons. Only the very few major companys out there will ever make money selling add ons. Now i'm not saying this to be mean or belittle there hard and very dedicated work, but curse is trying to make money off you the authors in a deceptive manor. Does curse share the money from the advertising or offer to buy your add on from you ??. WM offers a very simple and free way of getting the addons out to players and in turn letting players have access to the authors work. Curse i sighned in simply to post my view and relize you probly will delete it but at least it was read. And while your deleting my post delete my brand new and only used once account, I wont need it again.

Alright guys, Stop complaining. I downloaded the client a while ago.. and went to hit the button for update all.. It sayed i had to pay for it. At first it pissed me off... But it made sence.. you only get like 3-4 addons to update everyday.. Cant you just sit there for 2 min to tell it to update? Questhelper only takes about 20 sec..

The only thing i could ever ask for is a 'Update all' button for everyone for like a week after a big patch in wow is made. :p Dont wanna sit there for 50-60 addons

Just to simply put it....

Curse is providing a service.... you don't have to buy it. Yeah it is a sad and pathetic service but they have the right to offer it. Sad that they are getting paid off of our lazyness with the service they are wanting to offer...

So... us lazy people have a choice. We could use the "Premium" Service they are offering... or use their current free service (which is sorta saving me time in a very crappy way in my opinion) OR you could quit crying and go support another site that offers a better program to install your addons and is willing to host addons on their site.

yeah... the nice wowace addons cannot be updated on wowmatrix due to curse prettymuch owning wowace.

mysuggestion to you all is to quit whining on here because i do believe that curse is getting paid *checks and sees adds all over forums* so... while complaining they are getting $$... it you truely "hurt" curse then stop complaining... don't even go to their site... but thats up to you :)

So please tell me, what is the real benefit of heaving a Curse Premium acocunt.

Ok, first off a few corrections, the frame is just what goes around your avatar not using an avatar, read more carefully and secondly the Help us develop is so that they can use the money to invest it to build something better for all of curse.com. Man, all of you whiners are seriously grasping at straws because you keep repeating the same information that has been explained dozens of times in other threads. If all the people who are upset would actually read other thread instead of just hopping on here and complaining then you wouldn't have these problems.

When I saw this, i couldn't help but be amazed at how you can call Blizzard names while giving people advice on the best way to get addons for a Blizzard game...

@psycomo, The legal interpretation of that clause would have to be taken in the context of the whole passage which gives it an ambiguous meaning at best. My point is simply that no one can hold us in violation of this policy except Blizzard.

We're an official Blizzard fansite, we have a long history of working with them. We happily help them out whenever they ask. We've spoken with them regarding premium and there is no issue to be had.

I understand what you're saying, I'm just trying to explain that there is nothing wrong.
