I do hope there is a possiblity of an upgrade to 64 and its flash hehe That would be nice.I have the Nvidia 8800 GT and the graphics are outstanding. My FpS runs around 30 but noticing the line above I think I will reduce it to medium as of late running into running out of memory and getting kicked out of game sheesh. Sure hope I dont have leak somewhere. With 500 gigs of storage dont have any storage issues atm. I also still play Wow and use to go belly up at least 5 times a day. Not any more. Its really a great improvement.

Re: New Comp just for AoC!

Processor: AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad Core 2.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache
Alienware P2 Chassis: Alienware P2 Chassis with AlienIce 3.0 Video Cooling - Space Black
System Lighting: Alienware Standard System Lighting - Astral Blue
System Cooling: Alienware Standard System Cooling
Power Supply: Alienware 1000 Watt Multi-GPU Approved Power Supply
Graphics Processor: Dual Graphics Cards - Dual 1GB ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 Quad GPU Technology
Memory: 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz - 4 x 1024MB
Motherboard: Alienware Approved Asus AMD 790FX Motherboard
Includes PCI-Express 2.0, ASUS BIOS Overclocking Utility, and Support for AMD Phenom Quad-Core Processors
Operating System (Office software not included): Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 DirectX 10 Ready!
System Drive: Single Drive Configuration - 250GB SATA 3Gb/s 7,200RPM 16MB Cache
Optical Drives : Single Drive Configuration - 20X Dual-Layer Burner (DVDRW)
Enthusiast Essentials: Single High Performance Gigabit Ethernet Port
Physics Processing Unit: Ageia PhysX PCI-Express Processing Unit w/ 128MB GDDR3 - More Info
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer High Definition 7.1 Audio - More Info
Speakers: Logitech G51 Surround Sound Speaker System
Keyboard: Premium Keyboard - Standard Keyboard
Mouse: Gaming Mouse - Razer Lachesis 4000dpi Laser Gaming Mouse - Phantom White
Warranty: 1-Year AlienCare Toll-Free 24/7 Phone Support w/ Onsite Service
Security Software: Norton Internet Security 2008
Alienware Extras: Alienware Mesh Cap
Alienware Extras: Alienware Mousepad
Alienware Extras: Alienware Desktop Binder
Alienware Extras: Owner Identification Card
Alienware Extras: Internal Wire Management
Avatar:
Alienhead Glow
Window Style: Blue Window Style
Mouse Pointers: Standard Mouse Pointers
Power Plan: Standard Power Plan
Automatic Updates: Automatic Updates On for Critical Updates Only
Sidebar Gadgets: Calendar
Sidebar Gadgets: Notepad
Time Zones: (GMT - 8.00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)

Re: New Comp just for AoC!

well ...

Think you'll be better served picking anything between the minimum and recommended computer specs that's on the side of the AoC Game box itself.

I'm running an AMD XP 3200, 1 Gig RAM, BFG 6800 GT and while it runs EQ2 flawlessly and Vanguard pretty decent on high performance settings with shadows off, light sources down to 4 instead of 8, etc.

It runs AoC ragged. Even on lower setting (think RAM's bottlenecking, slow CPU and ancient Vid Card is causing me to lag to all hell outside Tortage and some aspects when I encounter several players. Grinning and bearing it till payday this friday and i'll be upgrading to at least 3 GHZ (Intel E8000ish, (probably $200ish) Geforce 8800 GT on Newegg--EVGA OC'd one for around 200 bucks give or take a couple 20's, at least 2-3 gig RAM.--goes for about 60-70 bucks on Newegg) Thank god for Newegg otherwise I wouldn't be able to do this. Hopefully this will nip the issues i've been having. Good luck in what you decide to do.

Re: New Comp just for AoC!

Any thoughts if this will work ?
