Hey I plan on getting a new desktop soon, and was wondering if someone could tell me if this would run AoC on high graphics options.

I also upgraded my comp to a dual core with 4 gigs of ram but only 3.5 is recognized due to the 32 bit OS. I do hope there is a possiblity of an upgrade to 64 and its flash hehe That would be nice.I have the Nvidia 8800 GT and the graphics are outstanding. My FpS runs around 30 but noticing the line above I think I will reduce it to medium as of late running into running out of memory and getting kicked out of game sheesh. Sure hope I dont have leak somewhere. With 500 gigs of storage dont have any storage issues atm. I also still play Wow and use to go belly up at least 5 times a day. Not any more. Its really a great improvement.

well ...

my system:
Intel Core2Duo E6750 (2.6ghz)
4gb Ram (dual channel)
MSI GeForce 8800 GTX with 512 mb ...
Using Windows Vista 64x

I can play on high, but only in Tortage and get acceptable frames ...
for further content and regions i had to go down with my grafics somewhere in between High and Medium ... but now it runs very smooth ... about 30-60 frames depending on region and zone ...
the only problems occur in cities like Old Tarantia, there my framerate likes to drop below 20 most of the time, but hey ... it's a city ^^ and as far as i don't have to fight or do similar things with 20 frames or less i give a damn ^^

do you know what the minimum requirements for this game are and what a good graphics card would be to get thats not to expensive and if i can run wow will i be able to run this???

soryy im pretty new to the whole pc gaming thing or video games in general?

I just bought a EVGA 8800 GTX video card, about $400 but i went from choppy in medium video settings (with a 512 meg ATI HIS turbo IceQ card) to smooth as glass in high settings, well worth the money if you are looking to enjoy your gaming.. also vista users, at least 3 gig of ram.

You need a better card, 8800 is a must on AoC if you want to play on High.
512 VRAM is a must.
Your cpu may cost more cuz of 6mb cache. I advice u a Core 2 Duo E8500
Remember that you need 30G of freed space onyour ahrd disk.

If you are running vista remember that it runs w/ min 1 gig of your resources already and the game asks for double that. I recommend 4g for running w/ vista. *** note Vista 32 only recognizes 3.5gig's.

Think you'll be better served picking anything between the minimum and recommended computer specs that's on the side of the AoC Game box itself.

I'm running an AMD XP 3200, 1 Gig RAM, BFG 6800 GT and while it runs EQ2 flawlessly and Vanguard pretty decent on high performance settings with shadows off, light sources down to 4 instead of 8, etc.

It runs AoC ragged. Even on lower setting (think RAM's bottlenecking, slow CPU and ancient Vid Card is causing me to lag to all hell outside Tortage and some aspects when I encounter several players. Grinning and bearing it till payday this friday and i'll be upgrading to at least 3 GHZ (Intel E8000ish, (probably $200ish) Geforce 8800 GT on Newegg--EVGA OC'd one for around 200 bucks give or take a couple 20's, at least 2-3 gig RAM.--goes for about 60-70 bucks on Newegg) Thank god for Newegg otherwise I wouldn't be able to do this. Hopefully this will nip the issues i've been having. Good luck in what you decide to do.

note to everyone a cheap (computer wise) $400 dollar walmart laptop is basically ancient and expensive. drive to a better store and spend $400dollar to get soemthign twice as good (though conan cost me 1180 in the game and equiement to play, but I like going huge)
