Can you guys set up last page re-directing after the login screen?

It's kind of frustrating to be somewhere on the site (ie forum thread, mod page, etc) and realize you aren't logged in.  So you login and are re-directed to the front page of the site, losing your place where you were.

It's actually set up so that it does it.

From what I've been told, it depends on how you get redirected to the log in page.

Can you guys start posting where you were when you were told to login when it doesn't redirect you?

Regardless of what page I'm on (in a addon project page, in the forums or looking at a blog) when I click the Login button on the top right of the page, I  get taken to the Login Screen. Once I login I am always redirected to http://curse.com (i.e. the front page).

I am not aware of any other way to login, other then the way I have described above and I'm pretty sure I have no control over 'How I'm redirected to the login page' (whatever that means).

Just so there is no confusion, here is the expected behavior:

Regardless of "how I am redirected to the login page", once the login is complete, I should be sent back to the exact same page as I was when I initiated the login process.  simple.

Here's my login issue:

1) I get to the site by clicking on the "View at Curse.com" link in the Curse Client while looking at a specific addon

2) Arriving at that addon's page, the box in the upper-right corner shows my username and a link to "Logout", which would seem to indicate that I'm currently logged in

3) I attempt to post a comment on the addon, and I get the notice that I have to be logged in to post (I thought I already was logged in)

4) I click the "Login" link, which takes me to a page that shows me two "advertisements" - one that says "Sign up for Curse.com - It's Free!" and one to sign up for Curse Premium.

5) Click my "back" button to return to the addon's page, where I can now add a comment.

The problem is there's no indication after clicking the "Login" link that I've actually logged in — clicking "Login" just appears to take me to a "sign up" page — and there is no link to take me back to the addon's page. No redirect either. Having to use my browser's "back" button is extremely counterintuitive in this situation, because the "back" button traditionally takes you back to exactly where you were before, not to a modified version of where you were before. So the first time this happened I was extremely confused.

Additionally, why does the box in the upper right corner say I'm logged in when I first arrive, when in fact I'm apparently not?

I've been testing this out and I'm getting redirected quite a bit more than I used to.
