Specifically, ATSW has a problem with the special characters in one of my toon names when trying to get reagents from my bank. Is there a standard function to make names with special characters work? Do you have to strip the special characters for mods to process the name for UnitName?

The special characters are not really allowed by Blizzard but are overlooked by GM's. So addon support is limited.
