Does the curse client remove the out of date addon folders before it copies the updated versions to the AddOns folder? Or does it simply copy the new folders & files, overwriting same named items and leaving intact the old items that aren't in the new version?

It does a full installation of the addon, so if files have changed (aka been removed) they get taken out.
