23rd Setember 2009 I found an Addon which I had NOT installed myself.

It was just THERE, sitting in my Curse client's list.

I immediately removed it, foolishly I didn't record it's details at the time but it's notes were in German.

Has anyone else had this happen to them ?

I have this right now.

It won't go away, even if removed, and it lists itself as being installed in the Gatherer_WowheadDB directory.It's It was called PullerAlarm, and the version info was even all gronked up. I virus scanned my system (avast, reboot, deep scan), SpyBot S&D scan (twice), and ran HijackThis several times to make sure I am clean.

As I was writing this I ran the curse client again, and now it no longer shows up.

Could this be a database ghost from Curse's side of thing?

I saw this PullerAlarm in my curse client addon list too and i am sure too, to never had downloaded it. In the description part the author stated, he is wondering, wether someone is still using his old mod, although he wouldnt have updated it since 2006. The "Website View at curse.com"-link was a dead one. So i uninstalled it. I remember the description contains the strings PullerAlarm 1.1 and Puller20 (or was it PullerAlarm20?). I googled and found a hint, that there existed an addon named PullerAlarm in 2006: http://glawster.com/medb/addons.html
