I'm interested if anyone knows of an addon that supports maintaining an alternate friends list or a meta guild addon.  The function is to support a cross-guild raiding group of toons.  There would be several toons from several guilds that I'd want to be able to see their class and if they're online (that is the simplest functionality).  Additional fuctionality might be to support synchronizing this list amongst members of the list and perhaps supporting chatting within the group (chatting might require that the addon create a chat channel of a randomly generated name - so that no other people would be in it - if you are the first person online, the next person online searches the list of members to see if anyone is online, if they are, requests the chat channel name and an invite then gets a join request from the originator).

If anyone knows of something like this or that has any part of this functionality or is interested in working on something like this let me know.

I think Second Guild is what you are looking for. Guild Channel could also work.
