Need a list of addons that you can talk to your team and they must work for wow 2.1.2 i think it is.
and teamspeak is out of the question it is retarded!

Funny TS is always ruled out, is it cause it looks "old" ? :=)

I used Ventrilo when I first started raiding and it was ok, switched later on to TS and was like "meh this looks crap" but after using it a while I really came to like it. Two things I missed from Ventrilo was the player name announce and player comments but other than that nothing IMO really makes Ventrilo better.

TeamSpeak is MUCH more CPU friendly and lightweight. Yes the raiding guild I'm in now uses Ventrilo and god it can be a pain/strain on the cpu at times especialy when raiding with alot of people online.

Teamspeak voice quality is extremly poor compared to Ventrilo. Hard to use Teamspeak once you are used to Ventrilo.

My hardware is fine thanks ;=) You can't really say it's extremly poor in general imo, it all really depends on what codex are used and how dedicated your server is etc.

I use Ventrilo now and it's ok just pointing out that TS really ain't that bad as some people claim and yes Ventrilo is less CPU friendly than TS. I never said though that Ventrilo is bad, did I :=)

The quality of our current Vent server ain't too great but nothing I can do about that though. TS is fine when the right codex are used and, well yeah you know... ;)

depending on the codecs used, both TS and Vent came come fairly close to each other in quality. Vent can work for Mac users if the Speex codec is used. Speex sucks however. TS is a little less CPU intensive but overall, Vent is better especially if the right codecs are used. the flipside is more overlay programs interface with TS than Vent. A G15 keyboard will work with Vent however.
