Isn't this game supposed to be utilizing Directx 10? I have Vista and a 9800 GXT XXX card. I can only select 9.0 from the settings menu. Is this the same for everyone or is it just an issue on my end? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, same thing. No reply from support on funcoms end.....

I've noticed it also. I can only select Directx 9. It's not just you. I don't know why, but maybe they disabled it since they're having so many problems already.

If I remember correctly, I'd seen mention about the fact that it had been disabled several patches back, right around launch, due to memory leaks or somesuch issue. Hopefully they'll turn it back on for us Vista users in the near future!

With the 10.1 update to DirectX right before AoC came out, the DirectX10 client was postponed for further tweeking. However, the option to select DirectX10 was still available, it was only a glitch and was fixed a couple patches back.
