I hate it when i get a quest that gives me an item to use and i dont realize it. it would be great if someone could modify learning aid to pop up a window with any usable items you aquire, just like it does when you learn a spell.

Just get Quest Item and have the little bag open at all time ?

Yep; the adddon Quest Item (linked here to Curse.com) is a good option. I use Quest Jester; in my opinion the advantage of using Quest Jester is that it creates a dynamic bar that grows and shrinks as you aquire and use Quest Items (including items aquired for Dailies). I looked on Curse but wasn't able to find Quest Jester; you can download it from WoWInterface if you choose to give that one a try too.
