Seeing all of these threads consisting of curse premium bashing in some form or another sparked an idea in my tiny little primate brain. Most people I have noticed have no qualms or issues regarding the donation of money to the mod authors. Would it be possible to setup a program then that would allow someone to donate a one time sum or even a monthly amount of money that would then be distributed among all the mod authors on curse? Rather than having to donate to an individual mod author. And to appease the masses make it so 100% of the money is distributed? I wonder how many of the premium service bashers would sign up for this?

Good idea. Just encourages mod authors to set up some place to receive donations. /sheepish ... which, I for one, haven't. Yet. But that's the rub. A "donate all" button is a fantastic idea, but only for people who have set up such a place. And since there is more than one online banking(?), um, site, this could get awkward, fast.

Addon authors should just form a union. Yeah. That's it. Everybody on the bandwagon of PayPal, whether you like them or not! :-P

I am not poking fun at your idea; it really is a good one, but there would be work to get it going, that's for sure.
