Consider the following: Most addons  can be gotten directly from the author, it just means a little added time getting updates indiviually.  Support can be given directly to the authors of the addons you use instead of being handed out according to some unknown process the 'services' won't tell you about.   In order to get all the addons you want through a 'service' you will have to download programming from 2 or more 'services' that may interfere with each other and your gaming performances.   These 'services' are making plenty of money from the advertisors they force us to put up with yet they want us to pay them even more money for services that continually fail to meet any kind standard.   More than likely this posting will get me 'banned' from Curse because they do not appreciate someone pointing out truths and shortcomings.

       So why would I want to throw away good money just to be able to download/update more than 1 addon at a time?   As it is I am constantly having to reinstall because Curse cant keep their own addons out of the unidentified files.   Please, maybe if you did the job expected people would be more willing to pay for the few 'extras'.

To add to that, even if you did signup for the premium service you still have to go to other sites to find some of your updates, not everything is hosted on Curse.

I am waiting for "Minion," the interface from WoWI that is going to be free with with a download all feature and their download speed isn't throttled. There is a premium version but it just eliminates ads.

Then I will take the money I saved and throw it around every now and then to authors.

Btw, they will probably lock this because they don't like opinions/views that do not agree with their own on this situation. They understand the greed, they just aren't willing to admit to it. :(

Uninstalled Curse and deleted profile from my interface folder.

To Curse - make it so I have to visit the website to download and serve me adds. I don't mind trading some eye time for your services. Then give me an option to pay for an add-free service. But trying to harass me into buying your service was a mistake, because now you won't even be getting my eye-time on your website.
