why not one time cost for premium client?

Hi,

I was actually gonne buy the premium client for supporting the site BUT i really dont like the monthly payment method.

I would pay about 20$ or so but not another monthly payment along with the game.

O well that is just how i feel about it. Wanted to share my thoughts with the developers. Maybe there are more people feeling the same way?

Cheers /reza

I am going to move this to the Feedback and Suggestions forum, where it is more likely to get some official feedback.

I would agree that It would be more appealing if it was a One Time Fee, However, I still do understand why We have to pay for  Updating all our addons  at one time. But If I was going to pay a 1 time fee would be the only way I would even consider it, as I'm not paying a monthly fee  and then monthly fees for the game.

Also A Quick Question. How much of the $$ Does Curse give to Blizzard , for creating the UI Pack authors Use to create these Addons?

Curse didn't create the Addon Author Kit (or whatever it is called on Blizzard's site), Blizzard did. Besides, us authors usually don't use that kit, unless there is something in there we can't get anywhere else. A simple text editor will do to make addons. :)

Therefore, Curse does not give Blizzard money for this, or any other reason of which I am aware.

I think the idea of a one off payment for the curse client is better.

I could even invisage a tiered pricing route:

a) one off payment $x.xx - You get premium client, with most features uncrippled

b) monthly payment of $x.xx - You get the prem client, all features working, and extra benefits for regular subscribers.
