I use this interface for all my chars.

I've been improving it for a long time and I think this is as good as it gets for my needs.

The DHUD2 Addon isn't visible in this screen, but I do use it.

There is no border, the black empty bars are caused by curse because the image format does not fit the given space. If you click the image you can see where it ends in the zoomed version

Which addon do you use to give you the black border top and bottom ?

Is Skinner doing that? Or Sunn - Viewport Art or something else?

Then may I direct you to Skinner and end your search? ;)

I got a question for you. Prat has a default icon that appears in the top left hand corner of my chatbox, is there a way to remove that?

What do you mean, crowded? Sorry I don't play a rogue who only needs two buttons. I just prefer to have my skills ready and usable, organized in a compact way. I'd rather have action bars with skills in them instead of useless spartan UI artwork that does nothing but taking screen space. It's not like other players will see your UI when in groups and say "yes, this must be a truly good player because he has a nice artwork".

And yes, it is simple. Even when compared to your UI. You have tiny buttons, lots of empty Action bar space and a chat box in the middle of the screen. And I counted 7 action bars and the useless micro menu + bag bars.
I don't know what you want, you can't be upset because I said the spartanUI sucks. It's not like you made it and I'm directly offending you. Even if, I'd tell you that it does look nice and it is well done, it is just inefficient to a high degree, especially if you play a class that does not benefit from all the space where you are supposed to put your action bars in.

Merkenary asked for feedback so I gave him some. Just look at his screenshot. Because of the artwork he had to move the two chatboxes/logs up, covering even more screen space. It just makes no sense when the rest of the artwork "boxes" are empty.

To answer your question: Yes, this UI is also not 100% efficient for low level chars but it at least has good keybindings and takes little screen space. And my lowest level char is level 71 at the moment, and all other char slots are used, so there won't be another lowbie.

And no, I don't believe this way is the only way. There are other UIs that are well done and I've also commented to reflect this.

Imho.. thats just way crowded.. u got like.. what, 5 or 6 bars of things?
I got like 3 bars that have everything from skills and spells to potions

The hell, the only thing i can say i like is the Minimap add-on buttons
And what comes for the post of urs that u made on Merkanarys post..
Would you have a low lvl charater use that many things?
    I very much doubt it

Kinda funny how you SEEM to* think that your way is the only way

*Not saying it is so, but just seems like it..

I only use the addons (and some more non relevant ones) listed below.
The black interface look is done by Skinner, the rearangement of the action bars by Bartender, the Inventory is modded by Bagnon and the XP bar by Xparky.
It's no big deal and just a matter of dragging and dropping interface elements in the right spot ;)
    Thanks for the feedback!

Dominos and Bartender is pretty much the same. I used Dominos and Bongos before switching to Bartender for a reason I can't remember at the moment.
Switching back would require me to refill all action bars of all chars with the icons as I have them now and also assigning the keybindings correspondingly, so I'll stick to Bartender ;)

I know it takes alot of downloading but why not try dominos instead of bartender. Dominos allows full customization for your action bars but then again i havent used bartender that much so what do i know

Well, it's pretty basic. Skinner for the looks and bottombar, Bartender for the actionbars, Bagnon for the Inventory, Monkeyquest, Chinchilla (minimap), Satrina Buff Frames, Prat for chat and ADAPT for the 3D Portrait in the Unit frame. The xp bar is xparky, xp bar text is a really old one called xprateplus and below that is Statuswindow which is much smaller than titanbar and shows the same things. Monkeyquest is configured to grow from the bottom up as I track more quests.
Several others for utility, such as DHUD2 (madcat branch), Trainerskills, Critline and Atlas/loot/quest. Not visible but also there: Omen, Recount, Quartz, Quick repair, rating buster, SCT/D, TipTac, Lightheaded, Armory, Combatstats and Lootlink (saeris')
    Thanks for the comment!
