Thank you for all your hard work. I have enjoyed using Outfitter for the past year. Despite all the rude comments alot of us have enjoyed the ease of use of alot of your add-ons. Thank you.

    Hey Mundocani!

I'm not sure how much you are reading up on the UI forums atm, but Shefki did receive some clarification on the policy as far as copyright claims. I hope that will help ease some of your policy concerns.

Obviously, it does nothing for people that are unappreciative and generally poor mannered.

Best of Luck on whatever you decide at this point. :)

I am very sorry for how some have treated you, and you are right that Blizzard doe snot care for the hard work you guys do for us for free. I am very impressed with many of your guys add ons and they are now hard to live without. WoW calendar stinks, and I do not understand how they could get it so wrong. It is not even worth using it is so bad. I can only ask you please hurt the innocent people that really appreciate your product, and just because of big, man, meany, blizzard decided to be greedy, does not mean you cannot still help us please.
These other guys that say bad things, are the same ones that say the bad things in the game, on why do we need group calendar when WoW has its own calendar. There is no point in explaining to them, because they are young, ignorant, and very clueless.

If at the list maybe would could even start a dialogue at my e-mail to try to maybe work something out. Aquarii, keystonemasons@gmail.com

Aye, I have always depended on Outfitter to keep my armor sets for my pally and shaman. It always made it easy to configure/store/and change out my item sets. I.e. Thank you for all the time you put into the mod. I am sad that developement has stopped. But again, thanks for the MOD I have always loved it and depended on it.

I'm sure u probably don't get on this and read all the good luck comments. But after having done a little toward keeping outfitter alive I'm saddened to see it go.

    All the best.

i found outfitter by accadent truthfuly, i ment to get another addon, and i thought"WTF is this crap" and to my lazyness i didnt get rid of it, and so it sat there next to my minimap, untill i accadently hit something and POOF all my clothes where gone! well it was then that i found the true genus of outfitter, i am saddened to see that i cant get it anymore, i have tried a few other simmler addons, but none worked quite the same, nor was quite as simple to use, i came back to this addon becuse it rocked and found it pulled, and thoe i suffer without, it is your work not blizz and what you are doing is right on, i would have done the same.

I'm new to the addon scene...was hoping to try Outfitter. I'll hope things resolve for you and you can once again enjoy your hobby. I'll keep checking with Curse for your stuff ;-)

I'm also here to say I appreciate and understand all the work and effort you put into development, testing, and making your work available. I develop for a living (though not addons) and understand that even a fun project can become a hassle if 30 people start telling you different ways it needs to be done. Even worse when someone comes along and says thanks for the free work but we're taking ownership of all that stuff now but you can keep working on it for free. I've used your addons since I started playing and will miss them but totally understand your position on this and support you 100%. Ramadex

The real trouble with your addons has always been that they're TOO well done. They work so seamlessly that, for the average user, it seems as if they were part of the game from the beginning. It's like when you watch Eddy VanHalen play guitar, he's soooo in touch with the instrument, it's as if the fret-board is controlling his fingers and he doesn't have to do anything. Thank you, good sir, for sharing your talent with the rest of us.

Weither or not you continue to develop this addon , i care to say i have used this since the very beginning and i very much appreciate the time and effort you put into it. Blizzard are completely wrong on this matter at the moment and i do hope they at least issue an apology. With that said i hope you have an easier time coding without the hassle of people complaining in forums.

I for one appreciate what you have contributed to the community. If the policy is changed about the distribution, I look forward once again to your add-ons in the general pool. Take care and enjoy your hobby once again!

Thank you for all of your efforts over the past several years. I can appreciate the amount of effort it takes to release a quality software product, add-on or otherwise.

If you want to read an interesting novel that can be sort of related to this, check out Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. If nothing else, look up Atlas Shrugged on Wikipedia to get the gist of the plot and how it applies here.

Again, thank you again for all of your time and effort. Please know that many of us are greatly appreciative of your contributions to our enjoyment of WoW.

Just want to say I'm sorry you feel this way about the player base and blizzards attitude towards mods. I have found outfitter to be the most important mod for me, as a raiding pally in BC with upwards of 9 sets of gear your mod made life much easier. I will continue using it until the patches make it impossible.

Thank you for all your hard work and effort over the years to supply such useful mods.

It is to bad that a grown man would throw a fit over something as simple as them telling him we do not want you to solstice ingame donations, how ever what you are forgetting they did not say you couldn't at all ask for donations just not on there game but then again that is there game so they have the right to do so just as all your add-ons are yours and have the right ot ask for donations on your site not there game... And it is a wonder at all that WoW lets you have add-ons at all a lot of games will not let you have add-ons. So be thankful that you can have them, but to each his/her own if you decide to pull your add-ons over something this simple then i say please do we will find other ways and forget your add-on all together.
Thanks for your time and effort....

Thanks for throwing a hissy-fit over blizzard trying to rid the game of spam advertisers.

    Good Riddance.

P.S. What blizzard did was for the good of the community not your small little world you claim to be so effected.

Love Outfitter! I was just getting to know it and realizing how versatile and powerful it is. I do appreciate all the hard work you've done on this addon. =)

I am no coder, but I'm sure others ponder the same thing. Should someone else want to continue Outfitter, how would you feel about it?

Personally, I think a lot of people think highly of your work, and if someone else continued it--even if they just maintained it between patches--that would be pretty cool. But whatever you decide, that's all right. :)

Too bad, thanks for all your work. Your addons are great! Its a shame that blizzard doesn't simply pay you to do the calendar and outfitter for WoW and instead create weak copys of your work.

  • Sat, Mar 21 2009 2:40 AM ()

Gonna be a shame to see your talents lost to us, especially now Blizz is building in a pale immitation of Outfitter... Things just won't be the same!

    Good luck with future endeavours.
