So I have a computer that is running Linux... specifically (as you could guess from the title of the blog) Ubuntu. I want to put out there that I bought this computer specifically to play WOW on. It's not a powerhouse, but a definate upgrade. I lost the reinstall disks, and since I'm going to school for electrical engeering anyway, I just decided to run Ubuntu. To my plesant suprise WOW runs better on Ubuntu than it ever did on XP, or I've ever had it on Vista... When it runs. This last patch gave me trouble, I'll explain. The first log in, the launcher started the downloader fine it downloaded and updated no problem, then.... I played WOW (the goal right) The NEXT TIME I TRIED TO LOG IN, Epic Fail. The launcher tried to invoke the downloader, to download and install the patch. Which would fail. I think because there was ALREADY A FILE WITH THAT NAME IN THE FOLDER which should have told something to someone. My final workaround was to delete Launcher.exe and run the update...
