WatchXP is a simple addon I started writing while leveling an alt with a friend. Put simply, all it does is draw a little string of text over your experience bar, which shows how far into whatever level somebody else is (currently, only party members that aren't 80). I used to use CTMod for my action bars. One thing it did that I loved is that it put the cooldown number on each action button. Not the little hard-to-see pie-slice type thing the default UI uses, but an actual number right on top of the button that counted down until the ability was ready to use again. I now use Bartender4.
